Job Description

Job Brief: Primarily responsible for managing the detailed, hands-on tasks related to change requests. This involves assessing, prioritizing, and coordinating these requests with the appropriate Requestors/Technical contacts, facilitating Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, and ensuring proper documentation and communication. 

Responsibilities:

Assess, prioritize, and coordinate change requests:

Evaluate change requests for Corporate IT to ensure all information for the change (relevance, urgency, and impact) have been gathered and properly documented. Ensure priority and criticality are accurate. Coordinate with various teams to ensure the changes are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure changes are ready for CAB review.Partner and collaborate with Enterprise CAB on high risk changes/exceptions/freeze period change reviews Represent Corporate IT on Enterprise CAB meetings

 

Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings:

Organize and participate in/lead regular CAB meetings where proposed changes are reviewed and discussed. Schedule and prepare the agenda for a CAB meeting, present the proposed changes, and document the decisions made during the meeting. Ensure all necessary stakeholders, including IT, business units, and management, are present to provide input and make informed decisions about the changes.

Ensure changes are documented, reviewed, and approved:

Maintain comprehensive documentation for each change request, including details of the request, reviews, and approvals. Ensure that all changes undergo a thorough review process and receive the necessary approvals before implementation.

Monitor and report on change implementation progress:

Continuously track the progress of change implementations to ensure they are proceeding as planned. Provide regular updates and detailed reports to relevant parties, highlighting any issues or delays that need attention.

 

Communicate change status and impact to stakeholders:

Keep all relevant stakeholders informed about the status of ongoing changes and their potential impact on operations. Ensure clear and timely communication to prevent misunderstandings and manage expectations effectively.

 

Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and policies:

Adhere to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) guidelines and policies throughout the change management process. Ensure that all changes are compliant with established procedures and best practices to maintain consistency and quality.  Ensure that the Golden Rules of Change are followed. 

Conduct post-implementation reviews and provide feedback:

Description: After a change has been implemented, conduct a thorough review to assess its success and identify any issues or areas for improvement.

 

Implementation and Review:

Coordinate the implementation of approved changes, ensuring minimal disruption to Visa staff and Corporate IT functions.Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure changes achieve the desired outcomes and to identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor and review the effectiveness of the change management process.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes.Maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards relevant to Visa and Corporate IT functions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT change management or a related role.
• ITIL certification preferred
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to effectively coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with project and change management methodologies, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.


Skills:

Ability to assess and prioritize change requests with regards to IT systems and services.
Experience in managing the entire lifecycle of changes, ensuring that changes are recorded, evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented, and reviewed in a controlled manner.
Strong process improvement experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining a high level of visibility.
