**Responsibilities**
The Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Ascension Medical Group formulates and oversees the organization's financial planning, policies and practices in collaboration with ministry-wide finance and Ascension executive leadership.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Serves as a member of the executive team and provides leadership in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives. Recommends strategies designed to achieve financial, strategic, operational, and system-wide objectives and goals.
+ Plans and coordinates financial resources. Serves as liaison on financial matters among executive leadership, and management.
+ Monitors financial performance, conducts organization-wide performance improvement activities, and maintains financial plans and forecasts. Ensures that financial needs are met and that budgets and projections are completed timely and accurately.
+ Recommends strategies based on financial, accounting and industry trends.
+ Directs the organization's accounting, statistical reporting, budget, tax, and audit controls,standards, and activities.
+ Collaborates with the ministry-wide finance team to coordinate major projects and system initiatives. Implements processes to ensure the timely completion of all financial activity requirements for system office and the Board of Directors.

**Requirements**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 5 of those years being in leadership/management.
**Work Experience:**
+ 10 years of experience required.
+ 15 years of experience preferred.
+ 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
**Additional Preferences**
+ Master's degree preferred.
