Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. The CFO Group Business Line Risk Accountant II assists in the identification and mitigation of risk throughout the CFO Group. This includes evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of the internal control environment and supporting management in establishing and maintaining the risk framework for the business line. This also includes supporting other established risk processes within the CFO Group Business Line Risk function, which includes the review and evaluation of account reconciliations. The CFO Group Business Line Risk function primarily strives to evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of both detective and preventative controls within processes that support a robust risk environment.  The CFO Group Business Line Risk Accountant II is responsible for developing an understanding of processes and business cycles, assessing related risks and understanding and validating management’s controls, including those that are in-scope for SOX compliance. The location of this role is considered hybrid - mix of in office and remote.

The Work Itself Prepare written documentation and testing support, which is all performed electronically and needs to meet established quality standards Support Risk Assessments for CFO Group process owners Completion of established work within mutually agreed-upon deadlines Coordinate the performance of process and control walkthroughs, including leading discussions with key stakeholders of the business Interact with management through oral and written communication to provide insight into potential process improvements and support qualitative improvements in control operations to eliminate control deficiencies Coordinate with issue owners regarding their efforts in issue remediation and obtaining required documentation to support timely closure of findings Interact with internal and external auditors through oral and written communication to support the auditor reliance model Support the CFO Group Business Line Risk team with special ad hoc projects as deemed necessary The Skills You Bring BS degree required preferably in Accounting or Finance CPA Certification or equivalent is preferred 1+ years previous work experience in Accounting or related field Experience with audit industry documentation standards (preparation of workpapers, flowcharting, narratives, walkthroughs, and control testing), is strongly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of internal control and risk concepts and auditing standards (Sarbanes Oxley experience a plus) Excel Proficiency - Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables & v-lookups Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills Demonstrate the ability to work independently Ability to inspire change and initiate process improvements Communicate effectively; both written and verbal, and across multiple teams Financial Services experience a plus How We'll Have Your Back

Base Pay Range: $55000 - $95000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.  Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
