Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for establishing, implementing and monitoring a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for clients of various ages, skill levels and sport interest. Primarily focuses on teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills, improving athletic performance and reducing athletic injuries.
This position will be servicing the Bigfork High School
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a field of exercise science, kinesiology, health, physical education, recreation or other closely related discipline, required. Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
+ CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) required.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or must successfully obtain within ninety (90) days of hire.
+ Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the strength and conditioning field at the high school, college, professional or private sector preferred.
+ USA weightlifting certification and/or FMS-Level 1 or higher preferred.
+ Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
+ Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
+ Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
+ Provides instruction and demonstration of correct lifting techniques, to include Olympic lifts.
+ Provides various strength, speed development, agility, and plyometric exercises while applying a periodization framework.
+ Provides instruction and demonstration of appropriate dynamic warm up, mobility and stability exercises, and corrective exercises based on individualized client needs.
+ Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills and works cohesively as part of the youth development and fitness teams. Collectively embraces growth and challenges, and performs professionally in individual, small group and team settings.
+ Works in collaboration with the sports medicine and athletic training staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured clients. Maintains a collaborative, professional relationship among school and youth sport coaches, sports medicine providers and the youth development staff.
+ Exhibits and applies a thorough understanding of the physiological bases of exercise and the ability to program/instruct according to the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and USA Weightlifting (USAW) guidelines.
+ Accurately administers and interprets tests and measures to include, but may not be limited to; FMS, FCS, Y-balance, posture, vertical jump, t-test, 10 yard and 40 yard dash, LESS, and strength testing for the pre and post evaluation of clients.
+ Administers and interprets submaximal cardiovascular and other fitness assessments. Collaborates with the LHMFC Exercise and Sports Science Center to gather accurate and reliable client testing data for use in research and progression of programming, return to play, and return to performance pathways.
+ Completes evaluation reports and provides results to the client and stakeholders per department protocol.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
