Position: Certified School Counselor
Start Date: 11/18/24 Length: 24/25 SY Shift: M-F | 37.5 hr/wk
Classroom Openings/setting:
– High School Level Opening
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under occasional supervision, performs school counseling work diversified in nature, with the goal of increasing the academic, career, social, and emotional strengths of each student; assists in building community capacity to participate in academic and personal change that impacts students’ growth. School counselors should possess the knowledge, abilities, skills and attitudes necessary to plan, organize, implement and evaluate a comprehensive, developmental, results-based school counseling program that aligns with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model and the South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program Model. Reports to Principal.
Requirements/Credentials: Master’s degree and South Carolina certification in school (guidance) counseling
W2 position employee with Amergis Staffing (Not the district), you will only be expected to work hours assigned on the contract. No unpaid required after school duties.
