The Procedural Care Unit is a department within Perioperative Services in the Nursing Division and consists of two primary locations CHH2 PCU and 11B PCU (on Marquam Hill). We provide care for patients across the age continuum, ranging from infant to geriatric, who are having diagnostic and /or therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology/Neuroradiology, Gastrointestinal/Endoscopy, and General Radiology Labs. The mission of the department is to provide exemplary, cost effective, safe patient care to OHSU¿s procedural patients, and to serve as a role model for procedural care in the Pacific Northwest. This position¿s primary location will be @ CHH2 PCU, but CNAs are expected to work in both locations as needed.

Function/Duties of Position Assist with the admitting and discharge Obtain accurate vital signs and weightComplete all unit specific CNA documentation in the patient’s medical record related to: admissions, daily care, vital signs, weight, intake and output, discharge, etc. Assist the patient with any and all basic hygiene, lifting, transport, dietary support, and other personal needs and medical necessities Support patient and family centered care Report potential compliance problems as outlined in the Code of ConductModel ethical and appropriate behavior, professional standards, compliance, and personal integrityMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Oregon CNA1 Certification at time of hireBLS required at time of hire, issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)  Additional Details
