Aspirus Riverview Hospital is seeking an Athletic Traininer in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to join out team.

The Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Evaluates, treats and plans patient care in accordance with Athletic Training standards, taking into account the needs of the patient as it pertains to the age and diagnosis of the patient. Incorporates patient and family education. Provides documentation for all of the above.

Hours: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Varied hours based on school coverage, usually starting at 2pm.

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of athletic training standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).Post graduate education in an area of specialization, and experience in general practice of athletic training with experience in area of specialization.Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer is beneficial.Clinical Specialist certification beneficial.Possesses a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required.Current Wisconsin licensure to practice athletic training.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
