Job Summary: + Proficient in casting and splinting applications and associated procedures + Proficient in dressing changes, associated applications and suture removal + Consistently orders and manages casting supplies to ensure adequate inventory + Educate patients and caregivers of specific care related to casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment + Maintain appropriate levels of casting and splinting supplies + Fit patients and give appropriate instruction on a variety of DME + Familiar and proficient in EPIC EMR and BREG DME Dispensing software systems + Knowledgeable and familiar with billing and insurance procedures and is capable of anticipating doctors and patients needs while performing on a multi task level + Assists patient care staff with rooming patients and performing vital signs as needed and available + Facilitates patient flow by coordinating patient care in a timely and efficient manner + Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations + Available for Ortho Now evening coverage as needed Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and certification by the BOC (Board of Certification).
