Certification Support Services Leader
+ Lead and coordinate the efforts of individuals or small teams of Senior Certification Support Specialists, Certification Support Specialists, Process Specialists, and other Certification Support staff to effectuate the successful completion of all team goals and SLAs. + As a representative of the Manager of Certification Support Services act as a liaison with Engineering staff to provide Project Handling support for non-certification projects, while also ensuring assistance is available for well-defined certification projects as well as receiving tasks for assistance with their certification projects, such as report writing. + When so directed, manage or execute special projects that fall outside the scope of normal defined work by matching team member skillsets with the project parameters. + As part of the Leadership Team actively participate in the Process Excellence Program to promote Lean Six Sigma methodologies across the teams in the development of process improvements, GBS & Six Sigma education and training. + Examine, propose and seek opportunities, where practical, to expand team role by merging similar functions being performed by separate entities. + Manage the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to. + Communicate and exemplify UL’s Vision and Mission. Lead, promote and embrace change for self and team. Coach and mentor employees to do the same. + Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. + Perform other duties as directed + Minimum 5 years of related experience including three years of supervisory experience, including work planning, direction, and review; training employees; performance management; career development. + Higher Secondary Education/ University degree or Diploma is required depending on the region + IT/ computer knowledge will be added advantage. + Shall be well versed with the MS Office suite of tools. + Applicant should possess strong communication skills, critical thinking, and interpretation skills + Must be able to lead and support new initiatives. Identify problems and offer workable solutions. + Demonstrated written, oral, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels. + Knowledge of SQL, Apex and/or Javascript programming languages recommended. What we offer: + Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $85k to $90k and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
