The Central Florida Sales team ensures the Walt Disney World Resort maintains its premier status within the Orlando region by maintaining strong business relationships with community leaders. The team also drives substantial direct and indirect commercial value to the site, ultimately driving new visitation, optimizing guest behaviors, and creating crave for the destination, convincing guests to return for a Walt Disney World vacation for years to come.
This role leads the Central Florida Sales team and is responsible for leading the strategic planning, coordination, execution, and reinforcement of the tactics and behaviors that deliver its value. The role will partner with Marketing, Commercial, Industrial Engineering, CIMA, and Finance partners (both internal and external), to maximize and optimize visitation to Walt Disney World and deliver Sales plans and goals.
The Sales Director reports to the Director, Travel Industry Sales and Marketing.
This is a Full-Time position.
What You Will Do:Lead the strategic planning, tactical development, and execution of both long-term and annual plans impacting Central Florida sales channel
Build and maintain relationships within the Central Florida community (i.e., accommodation programs, ticket sellers, Destination Marketing Organizations, key local businesses and organizations), understand situational developments within the market along with their impact, and communicate relevant information to both internal and external stakeholders
Support the development of training, education, and communication programs to ensure partners have all necessary information and selling tools needed to deliver plans
Work with internal and external partners to identify win-win opportunities that maximize and optimize value for all involved
Shift priorities and focus, when needed, to adapt to changing site needs or macro-economic and business situations
Required Qualifications & Skills:At least five years relevant sales, strategy, or marketing experience in the travel industry
Superior relationship building and communication skills with an emphasis on compelling story telling
Strategic and critical thinking abilities paired with business acumen to see new opportunities that drive value for Walt Disney World
Strong sales leadership and performance coaching skills with the ability to design and implement development plans to improve performance
Experience in leadership, team building, and motivating direct reports
Effective partnering and problem resolution skills, with the ability to interface with and influence all levels of an organization
Deep knowledge of Walt Disney World® Resort products and services
Ability to prioritize projects and multiple tasks simultaneously
