Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as aCentral Characterization Program (CCP) Visual Examination Operator (VEO)to join our team located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The successful candidate will obtain qualification as a CCP Visual Examination Operator. Perform visual examination of nuclear waste. Verify the physical form of the waste is approved and prohibited items are excluded. Interact with visual examination experts and other SIMCO teams to problem solve off normal conditions, new packaging configurations, and unfamiliar waste. Create, review and approve Visual Examination Batch Data Reports with an emphasis on attention to detail. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm. Non-Exempt Grade Levels (25-28) Minimum Requirements:These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting.
