The EMEA VM Manager will provide tactical and strategic support focusing on the region’s needs.
The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of excellence when it comes to the VM strategy execution in each EMEA store, the creative installations. He/she will support the business thanks to a great 360 collaboration with all departments (Merchandising, Retail excellence, Clients Relations, Store planning, Marketing), manage the VM budget for the region, and local creative production needs of all locations within the region. Be able to interpret a creative brief and execute to a high standard at the same time offering ideas to evolve to market needs. Work on the creative implementation of all PR or Marketing events based within the region and support in their execution. Creating feedback to the central creative team on any strategic and tactical information, ideas, initiatives in order to support the EMEA business and elevate our brand perception.
**Main responsibilities**
+ Partner with the Merchandising Director & teams in order to ensure VM strategies are fully aligned with Business objectives & strategy : ensure that forthcoming merchandise initiatives, product launches, and collections are correctly presented while addressing any market specific challenges. This includes what is needed from a training perspective to ensure the teams have what they need to succeed.
+ Feedback to the merchandising division any issues or successes on a case-by-case basis.
+ Work with the team in the field to manage merchandise adjacencies, participating in re-merchandising efforts, lead regional training sessions and ensuring updated planograms. In addition, conduct regular meetings with various staff members to ensure proper communication of any global initiatives and support market concerns or challenges in relation to.
+ Partner with the Central Creative team on the successful order and execution of windows, vitrines, in-store displays and caseline presentations. At the same time evolving and expanding upon tools provided to offer regional specific ideas to support needs of business.
+ Be a key point person for the VM network for any regional based PR or special events/projects. Working within a budget to ensure proper execution within given time frame.
+ Partnership with regional Marketing leadership is key, working together to provide regular feedback to the central team on any strategic ideas or information to grow the business within the region.
**Team management**
+ Manage an effective and responsive VM team within region.
+ Coordinate and monitor team members to ensure creative standards and operational effectiveness is being delivered across region.
+ Support annual performance reviews with feedbacks to the direct reporting lines.
+ Management of regional T&E, putting in place a travel strategy for the CVM team to ensure regional coverage and current projects are maintained at all times.
**Ad hoc support**
+ Contribute & Support the execution of key projects : events, store openings, campaign launches. Extensive travel periods could happen.
**Profile :**
Required :
+ 7-10 years management experience in merchandising, visual display, styling, or related areas - preferably luxury retail. Including the management of a sizable field team.
+ Experience of both jewelry and non-jewelry visual merchandising
+ Organized with experience with managing a regional budget and spend.
+ History of analyzing regional business reports and floor maps to ensure business needs are met.
+ Rigorous, organized, agile & flexible, innovative, strategic & enthusiastic. Excellent communication skills with a comfort level in communicating with all levels of global corporate leadership.
+ Ability to work with a variety of disciplines and personalities within a range of departments such as Retail, Creative & VM, PR, and Support Functions
+ Able to take creative direction, evolve/elevate and then execute to a very high standard.
+ Happy & available to travel within the EMEA region
Preferred :
+ Experience with editorial styling.
+ Articulate with the ability to present ideas and information in a group situation.
+ Knowledge of local vendor sources for display supplies, hardware, props, furniture, & flowers.
+ Network of freelancers to support local needs
