A.T. Still University's College for Healthy Communities (ATSU-CHC) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Didactic Education Manager for the Central Coast Physician Assistant (CCPA) Program in Santa Maria, California. This position will provide administrative support in areas of didactic curriculum planning and scheduling, professional correspondence, and assisting the Director of Didactic Education and Academic Coordinator in completing their admin roles and in providing organizational and logistical support for the didactic year. This role will work closely with the Director of Didactic Education, Academic Coordinator, faculty, students, standardized patients, and professionals in the community.
Major Job Duties:
Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Didactic Education involving processing, filing, entering, and managing data related to student recruitment, budgets, inventory, ordering, and scheduling. Coordinate and proctor student assessments such as examinations and OSCEs including recruiting, retaining, and training standardized patients. Coordinate and take minutes for the didactic committee and curriculum committee. Assist in the management of student academic files. Assist in the coordination of Department-wide activities. Provide administrative assistance to the didactic faculty. Day-to-day contacts include peers and subordinates of the supervisor, occasionally executive officers and clients. Supports and learns department and university organization, operations, and procedures. Assist the Director of Didactic Education in their day-to-day duties. A wide range of administrative and student support duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature. Assist with admissions, graduation, white-coat, and awards ceremonies, open house, student events, and paperwork for student certification. Support didactic faculty and students. Regularly uses various software applications, such as Zoom, Google Suite, email, electronic calendars, word processing, and spreadsheets. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/2-year college certificate/equivalent work experience 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience.Skills:
Highly skilled in working with a variety of academic and student service agencies, often at a distance between campuses (Santa Maria, Kirksville, and Mesa).
Good verbal communication and editing skills for phone and written communication.
Experience in business or academic office setting.
Experience interacting with internal and community affiliates.
Ability to follow and share information regarding university policy and procedure.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, databases, and basic computer skills.
Strong organizational skills.

The pay range for this position is 22.66 to 33.99 based on experience.
