CCBHC Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Job Title:  Adult and/or Family Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Qualifications:  Master’s Degree from an accredited school. Meet Licensure Requirements for the Kentucky Board of Nursing and has successfully passed the certification exam with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Submit to and pass a criminal background check and a drug screening test. Hours: Hours of work are structured 7.5 or 8.0 hour blocks of time but may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours based on needs or demands. This position reports directly to the Medical Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Assess and determine appropriate intervention for assigned consumers. + Perform physical health screening and treatment, and refer for appropriate follow up. + Prescribe and monitor medication within all ethical and legal guidelines. + Provide care based on ethical concepts, adhering to established standards of practice and engage in activities or behaviors that characterize professionalism. + Provide education regarding physical health comorbidities occurring with mental health and substance use disorders, including screening for HIV/Hepatitis, Metabolic issues, and other chronic health issues.  Educate consumers of CCBHC demonstration and make referral for needed follow up care. + Ensure the accuracy, content and completeness of consumer records. + Provides services within time requirement as set forth in Agency policy and procedures. + Respond to emergency situation in a timely fashion. + Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and independently, when necessary. + Other duties may be assigned when necessary. + Provide smoking/vaping cessation education.  Required Job Skills: + Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy and compassion when problem solving, handling conflict or in a crisis situation. + Knowledgeable of health promotion and disease prevention and differential diagnosis and disease management + Knowledgeable of Behavioral Health Concepts and how to incorporate concepts into practical application with health promotion and wellness education.
