Coffee shop Catering Supervisor
Reporting to: Site Facilities Manager
Hours: 35, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 2.30pm
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Catering Supervisor to join our team.
The main tasks and responsibilities of this role will be to manage a Deli Bar and Barista service, serving both hot and cold 'grab and go' food options and fresh Barista coffee whilst leading and motivating the team to provide a memorable and excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- On a daily basis, lead and supervise the Catering team members to ensure that all required tasks are completed
- Ensure all prescribed business processes and procedures are complied with and
carried out
- Ensure any on the job training is identified and implemented
- Lead by example and ensure that you team members are motivated to deliver a customer focused service
- Ensure all financial procedures are adhered to
- Assist in effectively monitoring and maintaining stock
- Ensure that all relevant deliveries are checked and signed for and that stocks are rotated accordingly
- Proactively seek new and innovative opportunities to improve the customer experience
- Ensure that the highest standards of service are achieved. Promote a truly customer
focused working environment
- Ensure that the standard business procedures and processes are adhered to at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers by adhering to food hygiene regulations
- Ensure all customer service areas are clean and fit for purpose, in line with current legislation and that staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities
- Report any major issues to the Facilities Manager
- Any other duties that might reasonably be expected from the post holder.
Requirements & Personal Attributes
- Appropriate personal qualities such as enthusiasm, communication, organisation and customer focus
- Practical experience and business acumen are essential
- Experience of working at Supervisory level within a catering and hospitality environment
- Experience of managing a ‘Food Safety Management system'
- Food Safety Level 2 with the intention of working to Level 3 (if not already achieved)
- Knowledge of managing a P&L for a small business outlet would be advantageous however not mandatory as full training and support will be given
