We host a variety of events and gatherings that bring together students, families, and community members, making our Catering Manager role an integral part of our mission Role Overview: As the Catering Manager, you’ll lead the charge in creating unforgettable culinary experiences for our thriving school community. From fueling athletes and energizing events to crafting memorable dining moments, you’ll lead all aspects of our catering operations with precision and passion. In this dynamic role, you’ll be a key player in enhancing our school’s reputation as a premier destination for both athletic and academic excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Event Leadership: Oversee and coordinate all catering events, ensuring detailed execution that meets and exceeds expectations. * Operational Excellence: Lead all aspects of catering operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and facility-related activities. * Menu Innovation: Collaborate with the Chef to design menus that are as inspiring as * Team Development: Train and mentor catering associates, equipping them with exceptional service techniques, menu knowledge, and customer service skills. * Cost Management: Monitor and control labor and food costs for each event, balancing financial responsibility with quality service. * Relationship Building: Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, staff, and the school community to foster a culture of trust and excellence. * Event Setup and Breakdown: Ensure timely set-up, service, and breakdown procedures, leaving every venue immaculate and every client impressed. * Supportive Leadership: Assist with food service activities beyond events, contributing to the overall success of the school’s dining operations. * Additional Duties: Embrace new challenges and additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the school’s mission. Qualifications: * Experience: Minimum of 2 years in food service, including at least 1 year in a management role. * Catering Expertise: Proven catering experience, ideally in environments with high-profile events or unique operational needs. * Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of food trends, sanitation standards, cost controls, and exceptional presentation techniques. * Financial Acumen: Proficient in budgetary planning, accounting, and computational tasks to manage event costs effectively. * Tech Savvy: Skilled in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other internet-based tools. * Certification: ServSafe Certification is required. * Attributes: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering extraordinary experiences.
