Your role and responsibilities

Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process to implement effective sourcing strategies in line with local and global business and category strategiesEnsure suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirementsTCO (Total Cost of Ownership) savings, payment terms, OTD (On Time Delivery​), quality, lead time, budget target settings and follow up for continuous improvementDefine and establish local standard agreements with all major suppliersProvide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelinesDesign and implement cost out programs and/or processes to reach annual savings and operational cost reduction targets

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree with minimum 7 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 9 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement/purchasingProficiency with software applications such as MS Office (Example; Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)Experience with SAP and Ariba SSS preferredStrong data analytics with continuous improvement mindsetDemonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environmentA collaborative, solution focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skillsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
