Job Summary
Successful candidate will work out of Glen Allen, VA.
Dominion Energy is looking for individuals with Supply Chain Category Management experience to identify, plan, and execute strategic sourcing strategies for the Subsequent License Renewal for Nuclear Plants or Off-Shore Wind Projects. This individual will work with SCM (Supply Chain Management) leadership, finance, supply chain sourcing specialists, and internal Power Generation business unit personnel to develop the long-term strategic sourcing strategy that supports complex construction contracting and management. The successful candidates will be responsible for determining long term needs through category/commodity management, spend data analysis, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Once sourcing needs are identified, this individual will lead cross functional teams to plan, develop, identify/evaluate potential suppliers, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate agreements, and execute these strategic agreements. This individual will also establish and execute supplier performance management programs for strategic suppliers identified through this process. Although this role will not have direct reports, the successful candidates will be responsible for directing and collaborating with peers in the sourcing organization. This challenging opportunity in category management is not just a change in SCM organizational roles, but also a change to our procurement/sourcing process. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic change agents to help usher in this new chapter at Dominion Energy.
This individual’s role will include but is not limited to:
7+ years related experience.
3+ years of procurement experience in category assignments detailed as above (preferred).
Knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following:
Strong understanding of business cost drivers. Hands-on understanding of business processes and objectives. Developing knowledge of assigned categories. Excellent project management skills, with ability to resolve problems and to remove barriers to success. Strong analytic toolset that will support the creation of financial targets, detailed analysis of spend data, and structure of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models. Strong mentoring skills. Ability to navigate organization and influence decisions. Ability to develop and implement a structured, negotiation strategy. Education RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
