We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Underwriter; this is a key role which supports the Casualty Practice in line with Chubbs ambitious growth plans in the UKI and Mid-Market. The role is to assist in the underwriting of new and renewal Primary and Excess Casualty business consisting of UKI and Multinational accounts
You will support the London Corporate Casualty team in delivering a high-quality service to our underwriters and brokers whilst developing technical and broader business skills in the Insurance Industry.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the underwriting and processing of new and renewable Casualty business in line with our underwriting appetite, authority limits and business plan. To work in conjunction with the team ensure efficient working practices are in place and adhered to as per established package underwriting guidelines Support the underwriting team through liaison with and participation at meetings with brokers and internal stakeholders To provide assistance to UKI Management for building, running and monitoring exposure reports To meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues. To work within the framework of the Chubb Code of Conduct, Compliance policies, Peer Review and within the framework of the protocols established by the Company Experience in the insurance market is required You will need to demonstrate a practical and common sense approach to dealing with differing situations and an ability to tackle problems often against tight timeframesInterest in Multinational programsMinimum A level standard.Competent in Microsoft Office.Expected to undertake “on the job” training.
