Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Athletics is searching for multiple Non-CMU Student Part-Time Casual Lifeguards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position offered during the academic year, from mid-October to mid-May, to provide coverage during CMU break periods and as needed to meet staffing requirements to maintain pool operation. Priority consideration and preference will be given for individuals that have familiarity with the Carnegie Mellon community and university facilities.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Ensure the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies
Exhibit knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques
Understand facilities policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned

ARC or YMCA lifeguard training
ARC Standard First Aid & CPR for Professional Rescuer
AED Training
