Casino Operations Shift Manager

Compensation: $67,900 - $88,300

Summary

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Gaming Department by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for assisting Casino Operations Manager with all scheduling for assigned shift. Responsible for tracking payroll hours worked by each employee on assigned shift. Ensures the proper conduct and integrity of all gaming operations. Resolves customer complaints/disputes. Sees that gaming procedures and regulations are properly implemented and adhered to. Ensures all Gaming personnel are properly trained. Delegates projects and responsibilities to Floor Supervisors and monitors their progress. Evaluates the work performance of Floor Supervisors. Verifies all slot jackpots and short pays in accordance with Rolling Hills Casino current procedures and regulations. Responsible for working in conjunction with the to organize and implement all special events including Slots and Table Games Tournaments. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Casino Operations Manager. Must learn, comprehend and comply with all company policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations and Title 31 requirements. Working hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age.

Title 31 Requirements and Responsibilities

All Shift Managers are required to have excellent knowledge of all Title 31 requirements. In conjunction with this, each Shift Supervisor is required to pass a Title 31 examination.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Floor Supervisors, Dealers, Slot Attendants, and Slot Techs (when Slot Tech Supervisor is not present). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work for all gaming employees on assigned shift, completing performance evaluations, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems for employees, as well as guests. Gaming Operations Shift Managers are expected to set an example in the workplace and hold themselves to a higher standard.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be at least 21 years of age and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Must have basic computer aptitude, demonstrate excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and customer service skills. Must show the ability to work under team management approach. Must be willing to work any shift and weekends. The ability to speak a second language a plus.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. A high school diploma or GED and two-years of supervisory experience may substitute for educational requirements.  One year of supervisory experience in a Casino Gaming Department required.
