SUMMARY


This position will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and attractive environment for team members, patrons and vendors of Argosy Casino. This is a non-supervisory position.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide stellar customer service including participation in and promotion of customer service programs to continuously improve customer service.Perform cleaning duties in all areas of the facility including, but not limited to cleaning, sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, and spot, stain or dirt removal of all floors, rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies, dusting, scrubbing, sanitizing, and buffing including using some machinery as required such as vacuums or floor cleaners.Maintain cleanliness of all areas including picking up litter, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning ashtrays and removal and transport of garbage.Clean all walls, ceilings, ducts, doors, windows, sills, furniture, woodwork, storage areas, drains, equipment, cabinets and fixtures in all areas of the facility including high cleaning.Perform heavy cleaning duties in all areas of the facility such as removal of grease, oils, and grime, and cleaning in, above, under, between and around equipment, machinery, docks and storage areas.Operates carpet shampooer and bufferEnsures appropriate chemicals are used when cleaning and mixes appropriate chemicalsResponsible for moving furniture and cleaning of assigned areasMaintains and cleans machines after useReports any problems to Environmental Housekeeping SupervisorAdheres to all company policies and proceduresMops, scrubs, rinses and polishes hard floors Moves, rearranges and cleans furnitureOperates and controls all mechanical equipment including rotary machines, blowers and back vacuumsRecognizes and uses appropriate chemicalsResponsible for providing exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guestsClean grounds, parking lots and garage as needed including but not limited to picking up litter, power washing, and operation of cleaning equipment.Clean and service restrooms including replenishing bathroom supplies.Stock and supply all service areas with appropriate cleaning supplies.Assist all departments by responding to housekeeping calls.Receive, store, transport and maintain supplies and equipment.Clean and maintain tables, chairs, fixtures and machines as needed.Wash interior and exterior windows.Perform deep cleaning duties throughout the facility.Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.Compile information, complete and submit reports as needed.Adhere to all company policies and procedures.Adhere to all gaming laws and regulations.Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.Any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business or any reasonable request made by your supervisor or management personnel. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of three months related experience. Previous scissor and boom lift experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to prepare, read and interpret documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
LICENSING
Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, state or federal law.

Some of the job duties of this position are performed outdoors and employees in this position are therefore occasionally exposed to inclement, hot and cold weather conditions. Employee will also work around moving and heavy equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
