As a Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) Cashier, you will be providing excellent customer service at the point of sale. Your responsibilities will include processing transactions, handling cash, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers. We are seeking part time candidates who give attention to detail and accuracy. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.
Requirements to be Considered for this Position:
Previous experience in a customer service environmentFamiliarity with building materials is helpfulAbility to participate effectively as a team memberAnswering the phonesRunning the cash registerResponsibilities of the Position:
Customer Service:
Greets customers and assists with purchases.Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues.Cash Handling:
Receive payments in the form of cash and credit cardsMaintain accurate cash registers and reconcile daily totals.Follow proper procedures for handling cash and making change.Attention to Detail:
Ensure pricing accuracy and scan items correctly.Assist with restocking merchandise as needed.Benefits Provided:
