Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. Summary: This position is responsible for all areas of Cash Application and Receivables to ensure adherence to proper cash application. This position is also responsible for contacting customers when payments are unidentifiable to ensure cash targets and recovery goals are met. The Cash Applications Specialist will serve as a resource for billing offsets and write offs to General Ledgers with accuracies, reconciliations and other assignments as requested. Responsibilities: * Cash Applications Specialist will perform frequent analysis of customer accounts to ensure cash is posted correctly * Clear invoices using the functions in accounting system * Download Lock Box report from bank site, process ERP generated exception report, export check copies, ensures all cash is posted accurately to invoices * Contacts customers when remittance is not received or not legible for ERP to post * Processes ACH and Wire payments * Post credit memos to appropriate invoices upon request of Credit Analyst * Prepare bank deposits, reconcile, and overnight checks each day to Lock Box * Involvement in customer contact through inbound and outbound calls * Process and fax upon request of the customer ACH and W-9 Forms * Filing, tracking, and maintaining files for ACH, Credit Card transactions and Lock Box Reports
