Case Manager
Katmai
**SUMMARY**
Provide Medical and Dental non-clinical Case Management and Administrative Care services for the Dental Readiness Classification (DRC) 3/4 soldiers who require medical and dental treatment.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Report to the COR/OTSS weekly on progress of all cases through submission of Case Management tracker.
+ Obtain all appropriate documentation from Soldiers and schedule all required follow-ups to ensure Soldiers can deploy on time.
+ Schedule and build packets for weekday and drill/mass PHA/SRP/FFD events and check Soldiers in/out for these events to include building, maintaining event, weekly rosters, and spreadsheets.
+ Scan, file, and update all records from PHA/SRP/FFD appointments and events both electronically in all corresponding systems and hard copies in the Soldiers’ records.
+ Work Special Medical Readiness Events (i.e., PHA/SRP events).
+ Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements:**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ At least one (1) year of relevant medical background such as a medical records clerk or prior or current military Medic/Corpsman work experience.
+ Ability to effectively read, write and speak English in order to communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers.
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
+ Associate degree in relevant area of study preferred.
+ Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize, problem-solve, and coordinate daily activities to support effective improvement in individual patients.
+ Demonstrates knowledge, skill, and ability to use basic office automation and information management equipment and programs (i.e. word processing, database management, email, etc.).
+ Excellent patient assessment skills.
+ Sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity. Ability to relate constructively to a variety of patients and healthcare staff from diverse backgrounds.
+ Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity in accordance with requirements.
**WORK SCHEDULE**
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, speaking, or translating. Periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage.
