**Position Overview**
Carrier Operations is looking for a high performance & goal oriented professional to lead Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout our factories including the full value stream (suppliers, internal operations and customers). Guide, coach and mentor the Carrier Excellence (Cx) Operating system thru a structured process and series of improvement inittiavesin Manufacturing and Business processes.
This position provides great visibility to each Site within BU’s as well as divisional WHQ. Success will be defined by the delivery of committed results in alignment with business goals, the improvement of the relevant KPI’s and the Cx adoption in the region as the recognized DNA. Candidate must be an expert in CI methodologies and tools to enable CI strategies across a region and to set systemic bias of action. This position will report to the Cx & Lean Americas Leader, and be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
**Responsibilities**
+ Drive sustainable improvements across the business.
+ Foster a teamwork environment, on either a leadership or peer role.
+ Coach / guide / mentor / assist Site Managers translate business goals, initiatives and improvement targets into CI initiatives to be included in site’s Macro Plan
+ Provide CI relevant training to develop Cx & lean capabilities.
+ Train Cx champions, influencers and enable the new framework rollout
+ Lead kaizen events / projects aligned to improve performance and foundational gaps.
+ Enable synergy channels to communicate and implement best practices.
+ Facilitate and guide the CI framework that results in site certifications.
+ Promote Carrier’s culture and values.
+ Develop and mentor additional CI resources throughout the site to expand the base of event leaders
+ Help and guide additional lean resources or event leaders / Help remove project level Barriers
+ Ensure appropriate lean initiatives communication and best practice sharing
+ Evaluate process automation opportunities that connect to overall lean transformation vision.
+ Perform assessments, conduct risk assessments in support to the Cx initiatives.
+ Successful candidate will get certified within the first 1.5 years through the Cx practitioner program.
**Education**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
+ MBA or master’s degree preferred (business or operations management)
**Qualifications**
+ 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations with progressive leadership & technical responsibilities.
+ 3+ years of Lean, Six Sigma or OpEx experience.
+ Strong Lean knowledge on Advanced Value Stream Mapping, Manufacturing Standard Work & Cell Design (Demand profile, part family definition, time observations, layout configuration, etc.), Integrated Production & Logistics, Logistics from the line back (PFEP, material presentation, takted delivery, supermarket design, inbound logistics), Supplier Integration, Lean Transformation.
+ Previous experience leading cross functional Kaizen teams.
+ Proven capability to build the best teams, work toward common goals and deliver results with pace.
+ Hands on and execution. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate results in field.
+ Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
+ Passion for customers including ability to act quickly, solve problems and exceed expectations.
+ Strong communication and facilitation skills.
+ Project management skills required.
+ Strong usage of Microsoft office products required.
+ ERP Systems experience desirable.
+ Analytical skills, experience using Minitab software for data analysis preferred.
+ Understanding of Health and Safety industry standards.
+ Ability to work on own initiative (self-directed)
