What you’ll get to do as a Caregiver:

Help developmentally disabled clients in their homes and communitiesHelp clients to access community resources and participate in social activitiesProvide transportation to clients out into the community for appointments and shoppingTeach clients to live independently, including cooking, cleaning, and managing moneyHelp clients with daily tasks, like personal care and hygieneWrite notes about client progress and achievementsCommunicate the client’s progress with clients, families, and staffUnderstand and follow the client's Individual Support Plan (ISP)Attend meetings and training sessions Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentGood communication and people skillsAbility to work alone and as part of a teamBasic computer skillsReliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)Pass a background check

 

Work Environment:

Work mostly in clients' homes and communities, with some travelMay require lifting or moving objects up to 50 poundsWork in various settings, including private homes, public spaces, and outdoorsMust be able to work varying shifts, including weekends
