EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferably supplemented by course work in career education and guidance. Minimum of two years of responsible employment in business or industry involving direct and heavy personal contact responsibilities, such as in personnel training, tutoring, human relations, or similar assignments, preferably in an educational or public agency setting. Any combination equivalent to experience and training (as outlined above) that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Possess a valid California driver’s license. Some verifiable work experience with high school-age students is preferred. KNOWLEDGE OF: 1. Resources for information pertaining to career technical education opportunities, as well as how to order/acquire them for Career Center use. 2. Modern office practices, procedures and record keeping. 3. Computer operation and software use. 4. Correct English grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and composition. 5. Methods and procedures used in administering, scoring and interpreting vocational assessment instruments. 6. Local referral agencies, community and state colleges/universities.

Be flexible and cooperative when faced with new and changing situations. 9. Read, understand, and utilize technical, procedural, and instructional material. 10.
