Career Consultant to work with STEM students in the School of Computing and Information. The Career Consultant will provide personalized assistance to students/alumni with career planning, internships, job search strategies, and graduate school preparation as well as provide outreach and programming to the School of Computing and Information and several majors in the School of Dietrich Arts and Sciences. Duties of this 12-month position include individual appointments, drop-in appointments, workshops programs, developing job search resources, outreach to residence halls and student organizations, and establishing contacts with faculty and academic advisors. One to two years’ experience in career advising, cooperative education, recruitment/employment, student affairs, guidance or related areas is preferred.

Represents the University/student affairs on external or University-wide committees.•Engages in employer outreach and development initiatives to promote employment opportunities for students and alumni.•Administers and interprets a broad range of career assessment instruments. Maintains documentation that tracks client progress, assessments results, and goals, ensuring confidentiality.
