National Campaign

Permanent Full-Time Contract (39 Hours)

 

Job Purpose:

To promote the development of independent living skills, and to assist service users in their daily living within a supported accommodation service, ensuring their safety and well – being at all times.

 

Minimum Education & Experience required:

A third level graduate in Health & Social Care, or equivalent Minimum of 12 months experience. Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also essential. Attendance at training as deemed appropriate by the management of the service. Experience of working with service users in a community environment Experience of providing appropriate supports to service users with relevant disability

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Promote and actively get involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user. Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users. Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times. Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect and equality and incorporating choice

 

Additional requirements

To be able to work effectively in a team providing person centered support for service users. To be able to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of service users at all times. To be able to adhere to all policies and procedures.

Salary starting from point 1 € 27,146.08- point 5 €30,948.59, depending on experience
