The Opportunity:
The Care Services Assistant is responsible for a comprehensive range of duties, balancing administrative responsibilities and support services with direct care for our residents. This position is integral to the seamless operation and nurturing environment of our community, ensuring that both the administrative needs and the personal care needs of our residents are met with professionalism and compassion.
What You’ll Do
Utilize OnShift to manage schedules, fill shifts, approve overtime, and ensure compliance with regulatory staffing requirements.Collaborate with department leaders to plan and fulfill staffing needs, maintain visibility of schedules, and reduce dependency on external staffing agencies.Cover caregiver role on an as-needed basis to ensure continuous, high-quality care and support for our residents.Utilize PointClickCare (PCC) software to monitor compliance, input relevant data, and scan documents efficiently.Accurately complete incident reports and evaluations, ensuring all necessary details are captured and maintained within the system for regulatory adherence and quality assurance.Assist with biweekly payroll processing and manage administrative tasks including PTO requests and reporting requirements.Compose reports and presentations, prepare staffing charts, and perform data entry with high accuracy.Support resident admission, transfer, and discharge processes, including arranging transportation and handling belongings.Maintain accurate and comprehensive resident records, including medical documentation and identification data.Record vital signs, review medication cards for accuracy, and coordinate with the Food Services Director regarding dietary needs.Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s).What You’ll Bring
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, or the age required by state regulations, whichever is higher.Must pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens.Demonstrates effective time management skills.High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.Candidates must be currently certified as a Nurse's Aide or Medication Aide in accordance with state regulations. Applicants without current certification must be eligible and willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment as a condition of continued employment.
