Cardiothoracic Surgery Registry Specialist Job Responsibilities:

Performs extensive medical record review and concurrent chart data abstraction on all regulatory/registry-required clinical indicators for assigned patient groups. Selects and collects appropriate data from patient charts relevant to the core measures set and disease-specific indicators.  Delivers timely and comprehensive outcomes reports to QI committees, clinical and administrative executive leaders.  Works concurrently and collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, and other individuals involved in the quality improvement initiatives and core measures to ensure standards of quality are met.  Participates in educational programs of staff and physicians to increase performance levels in quality improvement initiatives and core measures process.

Cardiothoracic Surgery Registry Specialist Additional Requirements:

Work schedule: Monday – Friday Day Shift Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing BSN, or graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology years of specialized training in a hospital/healthcare. Licensure: Registered Nurse License in the Commonwealth of Virginia upon hire; for non-RNs, must be registered in one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RTRCV, or RTRVI upon hire. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Board Certified within 3 months of hire (applicable to RNs only). Certification: Basic Life Support Certification  Experience: 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
