Job DescriptionThe Card Network Compliance Leader will own the leadership of our Card Network Compliance team and build out processes and procedures to oversee Card Network (Visa, Mastercard, etc) compliance violations and financial impacts to Elavon. This leader will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of compliance violations from tracking to evaluation, waiver submissions, prioritization, as well as coordination with internal and external customers/partners for resolution. Additionally, this leader will be responsible for proactively reviewing Card Network reports to reduce compliance violations and for the accounting of fines to mitigate operational loss to Elavon through billing and reconciliation of Card Network fines.
Position Highlights
Oversee all business operations relating to the management of Card Network violations and fine programsWork with team to develop and maintain a recordkeeping system to track Card Network compliance notifications, status, owners, and finesCreate and manage effective action plans in response to compliance violationsDefine process to pass fines to customers and reconciliation of Card Network invoices to minimize operations lossCreate monthly reporting of Card Network notifications and fines for senior leadershipAdvise management of possible risks and significant changes to fine programsPrioritize compliance violations based on impact to Elavon or its customers.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs)Collaborate with other areas of the business to ensure all compliance violations and fines are being resolved and communicated to customers/partnersManage impediments and problems, resolve issues, and fix broken processesLead change management efforts for projects with key and impacted stakeholdersBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceTypically 10 or more years of experience in regulatory compliance activitiesPreferred Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience with merchant acquiring, exposure to and knowledge of authorization and/or clearing transactional flowsFluent in risk management and payment industry principles and rulesStrong knowledge of Card Network processes and regulationsHighly analytical with strong attention to detail.Technically astute to have the ability to deal with both technical and business groups within the organization as well as with Card NetworksAbility to develop relationships with cross functional teams across Sales, Finance, Engineering, other Product leaders, User experience Innovation, Marketing, and other business partnersExperience working with external partners on product development and deliveryAbility to use data to drive decision-making at all levels within an organizationStrong managerial skills in hiring, leading, growing and upskilling direct and indirect reportsStrong communication and presentation skills especially with executive audiencesHybrid/flexible schedule
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $108,375.00 - $127,500.00 - $140,250.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
