Capability Lead – Electrical & Electronics
Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid working)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Capability Lead – Electrical & Electronics to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship Rolls-Royce programs and play a vital role in solving some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in industry while being part of a global, multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
As the Capability Lead – Electrical & Electronics you will be responsible for covering the scope of developing the people, process and tools for the control and monitoring systems. This includes accountability for; developing engineering personnel, delivering capability improvement, and ensuring standards and regulations are adhered to. You’ll ensure compliance to process throughout the life cycle activity and ensure that world class capability is effectively utilized to provide products and services that satisfy business requirements. This role reports to the Chief of Electrical & Electronics.

Key Accountabilities:
Lead, engage and develop assigned personnel to become suitably qualified and experienced to meet current and future business requirementsAlign assigned staff to agreed work packages and provide technical leadership to the Engineering resource group and ensure compliance to process throughout the life cycle activityLead and be accountable for the appropriate section of the Engineering strategy and drive this to completion supported by functional leadershipEnsure that world class rules, tools and methods are developed and utilized effectively across the group for the accountable domain as a main focus on the greater use of automation, digital tools and lean processes to drive efficiencyDrive and support the transition to model-based reusable product lines at system, product system and component levelEnsure staff are suitably qualified and experienced and that the required skills are sustainable for the future through: multi-skilling, staff rotation, and the competency framework tools and professional networks and standardsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Engineering, ORMaster’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in Engineering, ORPhDIn order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. CitizenPreferred Qualifications:
Good understanding of electronics and mechanical design engineering processes Good understanding of control system developmentDemonstrates sound engineering judgement and knowledge of the Sector Customers and ProgramsHas provided technical and professional leadership to a team of engineers and other management level personnel Capable and experienced in building high performing teams and effecting a positive shift in attitudes and behaviorsDemonstrates effective leadership & engineering skills Experienced in applying process improvement techniques and driving business improvementsExperienced in performance managementPioneer the next generation of innovation.
