WE’RE LOOKING FOR A CANADIAN INDUSTRIAL PARTICIPATION MANAGER

Position Summary:
The Canadian Industrial Participation (IP) Manager will be responsible to successfully implement Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Industrial Technological Benefits (ITB) projects in accordance with AHCA ITB Contracts and AH strategy. In addition, the IP Manager will be responsible to manage the Prime contractors/ISED Interface, as well as to support ITB requirements for future campaigns: CCG Polar, nTCAS, etc.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Future Aircrew Training
Implement AHCA ITB projects (including AHCA own & AHD/AHF ITB projects) in accordance with FAcT ITB contracts scope, timeframe and budget, in concertation with the AH IP Manager
Coordinate actions with local beneficiaries to secure AH commitments, in particular suppliers contribution
Manage and participate in ITB Program Management Reviews with Prime Contractor/ISED
Prepare and release ITB reports to Prime Contractor/ISED
Manage and gather documentary evidence from AHCA & other local beneficiaries required for Credits claims as required
Manage administrative amendments
Create strong relationship with Prime Contractors and ISED
Share information on a weekly basis through dedicated meetings with the AH IP Manager
Management of Customer Interface - Transversal
Ensure satisfaction of various Canadian “Customers” ITB ecosystem i. e. Prime Contractor, ISED, CNRC, local beneficiaries, etc. with their ITB expectations while preserving AHCA/AH interests
Communicate with the Prime Contractor / ISED in a timely and coordinated manner on ITB achievements
Canadian Offset Campaigns and Future Obligations
Engage with Government, Province, Industrial associations, ITB policymakers to influence ITB policy change as required
Maintain an updated knowledge of ITB policy and procedures
Arrange and participate in surveys of Canadian companies
Maintain knowledge of Canadian industry in order to identify potential ITB opportunities for new Canadian campaigns
Support discussions of Airbus Divisions with potential Canadian partners
Contribute to optimization of Canadian ITB plan according Canadian capabilities, Canadian content and cost in particular in creating strong relationship with Canadian Aerospace & Defence ecosystem
Support relevant M&A opportunities and Canadian partners screening to create a favorable industry environment for AH
Work with AH IP Manager and AHCA government programs to coordinate and formulate offset plans for future campaigns
Position Requirements
Education
University degree in Business, Management, or Operations Management
Experience
5 years' experience working with government of Canada ITB policies and management, associated with major Government contracts or programs
Experience in and knowledge of the Canadian military and government procurement process considered an asset
Previous aerospace experience considered an asset
Experience responding to RFPs considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities
Thorough understanding of Government of Canada ITB policies and directives
Strong attention to detail
Strong leadership skills & ability to coach/mentor/inspire staff
Ability to meet goals and targets independently and without day-to-day active management
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to set priorities and undertake initiative to time sensitive demands & deadlines
