Campaign Operations Manager

We are looking for a marketer with a passion for helping developers succeed with cloud technology. You are well-versed in marketing technology, with an emphasis on marketing automation and campaign management. Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing,, you will play a leading role in creating and executing communications into the DigitalOcean customer base.

You will work with a variety of teams including Product, Support, Product Marketing, Programs/Events, and Developer Relations to drive awareness of the fast-paced innovation occurring across the company. You will have the opportunity to reimagine our holistic approach to communicating with our customers, balancing the stories we want to tell with our customers’ appetite to engage.

Responsibilities: Deploying communications to the DigitalOcean customer base: Campaigns include product announcements, event and content promotions, newsletters, and account notifications. Exemplifying Campaign Operations best practices: Create and adhere to a campaign operations checklist, including quality assurance checks before each campaign deployment, maintenance of a holistic campaign calendar, and creating an experimentation plan to improve customer communications metrics. Working cross-functionally: Work with channel and product owners to execute communications that enable our customers to succeed. Maintaining database hygiene: Ensure our marketing database stays up-to-date with internal requirements and is in compliance with regulations, such as GDPR. Analyzing results to inform recommendations: Create reporting frameworks to measure the success of our campaigns, close the loop with stakeholders on performance, and offer ideas for program improvements. Requirements: Experience building and executing email campaigns: Hands-on experience building campaigns in marketing automation platforms (preferably Marketo), including work with email template building, lists and databases, landing pages, and forms Developer marketing experience: We’re looking for someone who understands how to help developers succeed with cloud solutions. Strong writing: Ability to write effective copy and proofread as part of quality assurance Project management: Strong attention to detail and ability to understand and plan against cross-dependencies to drive projects forward; experience with JIRA a plus Collaborative expertise: A proven track record of working cross-functionally to execute improvements in the customer journey is a must Strategic thinking: Ability to go beyond “pressing send” by leveling up the quality of campaigns reaching our customers Why You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean: We are proud to work here. While the philosophy around our benefits is the same worldwide, specific benefits may vary based on local regulations and preferences. We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
