Camp Nurse
EF High School Exchange Year is seeking RNs or LPNs to work with international high school exchange students at its camp held on the Muhlenberg College campus in Allentown, PA.   EF International High School Camp is a summer orientation program that blends the feel of summer camp with a simulated American high school experience to help international students grow more comfortable, confident, and prepared as they begin their exchange journey.   In a welcoming environment, students engage in enriching programming, practice skills from communication to English language skills, and form strong bonds and memories with other exchange students that will last a lifetime. 
The ideal candidate:Has a desire to work with international exchange students, ages 14-18Has experience working in a summer camp atmosphereHas a high emotional intelligence and empathyPossess excellent communication skillsIs an exceptional team-player and enjoys working with dynamic colleaguesIs able to physically participate in student activities & off campus tripsIs enthusiastic with a sense of humor, positive attitude, patience, and is flexiblePrevious experience with EF High School Exchange YearCamp is broken up into two (2) separate sessions and includes staff training as detailed below. Staff arrivals: July 11Training: July 12-15Session 1: July 16 – 26Session 2: July 30 – August 9Staff departures: August 10
Responsibilities:
Camp Nurses provide basic health services (headaches, sprains, splinters, etc.) as needed to students during the program. For more serious situations, nurses will refer students to an urgent care clinic for treatment and staff will arrange for the student to be transported. Nurses (two in total) are members of the Camp Wellness Team; they work alongside on-site EF Student Support Staff report to the Camp Wellness Coordinator for student updates, office needs, and more. Nurses will hold office hours and participate on an on-call schedule with the Camp Wellness Team; this position requires early morning and late evenings. Requirements:Qualified candidates must have an up-to-date nursing license. All staff must complete two online training modules to familiarize themselves with the EF High School Exchange Year program and attend training before student arrivals.Compensation:
Nurses will be paid $2,500 per session and are provided with room and board for the duration of the program. EF will make travel arrangements for the nurse or reimburse for mileage.
