Job Title: Cafeteria Worker Department: Food and Nutrition Services Location: Canton Potsdam Hospital (New coffee shop at the hospital) Hours Per Week: Full Time; 37.5/week Schedule: 7.5 hour shift; 6:30 am to 2:30 pm; every other weekends, holidays SUMMARY: The Cafeteria Worker is responsible for preparing and serving food, handling payments, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. This role maintains high standards of sanitation and organization in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Set up and replenish prepared food items to ensure consistent availability for customers. + Serve meals in a friendly and efficient manner. + Handle cash register operations, process payments accurately, and manage the opening and closing of the cash drawer. + Keep supplies and condiments stocked, clean, and organized. + Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area to provide a safe and welcoming environment. + Assist visitors and staff promptly and courteously, delivering excellent customer service. + Operate the dishwashing machine properly to ensure all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. PAY RANGE: $17.58 - $24.27 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
