Job Title: CAD Technician
Job Description
The CAD Technician will be responsible for supporting the design team with CAD designs from the solution team and making them deployment ready. This includes using AutoCAD, receiving CAD designs, cleaning them up, ensuring there are no interferences, adding layers to the design to support deployment, putting the designs in a format for construction, and supporting deployment efforts by providing drawing to the field for installation and integration efforts.
Responsibilities
+ Create and modify detailed 2D layout designs using AutoCAD for retrofit projects.
+ Develop and adjust layouts for material handling equipment or production lines, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure.
+ Produce accurate and detailed plan views and elevation views as needed.
+ Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to ensure designs align with functional, safety, and standardization goals.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and version control of all design files.
+ Tackle challenges related to retrofit projects by effectively integrating new components with legacy systems.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with AutoCAD and other CAD software.
+ Proficiency in layout design, process flow, and production line design.
+ Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to manage expectations and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
+ Experience in creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment and work areas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.64 - $39.64/hr.
