(https://d25zu39ynyitwy.cloudfront.net/oms/000000/document/2024/6/SMVZW\_USStrykerEmployeebenefits/USStrykerEmployeebenefits.pdf) **Work Location:** 1941 Stryker Way, Portage, MI **Shift** : Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM **Summary:** The CAD Specialist prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using computer-aided design software, and works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex or original designs which require a high degree of precision using computer-aided drafting (CAD) or computer-aided engineering (CAE) equipment. Additionally, the specialist creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technicians' sketches, plans and written and verbal instructions, and develops and maintains drafting standards and procedures. Evaluates and recommends purchase of CAD/CAE-related computer hardware and software. **What You Will Do:** + Digitize, edit, and revise computerized graphics of component parts, subassemblies and final assemblies. + Coordinate with others to ensure dimensions on drawings are accurate and complete. + Complete basic maintenance programming for CAD file management. + Design basic or narrowly defined components. + Write engineering change orders and help with blueprint filing system. + Transfer and translate drawings from one computer system to another. + Execute routing design projects, to include stack up analysis, part design, and related tasks. + Assist in print transfers related to product line acquisitions. **What You Need:** _Required:_ + A.A.S. in CAD or related design engineering curriculum or equivalent experience + 5+ years’ related design & design software experience Health benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
