Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Summary:

The CAD Specialist prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using computer-aided design software, and works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex or original designs which require a high degree of precision using computer-aided drafting (CAD) or computer-aided engineering (CAE) equipment. Additionally, the specialist creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technicians' sketches, plans and written and verbal instructions, and develops and maintains drafting standards and procedures. Evaluates and recommends purchase of CAD/CAE-related computer hardware and software.

What You Will Do:

Digitize, edit, and revise computerized graphics of component parts, subassemblies and final assemblies.Coordinate with others to ensure dimensions on drawings are accurate and complete.Complete basic maintenance programming for CAD file management.Design basic or narrowly defined components.Write engineering change orders and help with blueprint filing system.Transfer and translate drawings from one computer system to another.Execute routing design projects, to include stack up analysis, part design, and related tasks.Assist in print transfers related to product line acquisitions.

What You Need:

A.A.S. in CAD or related design engineering curriculum or equivalent experience5+ years’ related design & design software experience
