CAD Designer Pipeline
**Contract CAD Designer** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **CAD Design Engineer** to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating new product designs, enhancing existing products, and determining the best-fit solutions within the industry. If you are passionate about design engineering and want to contribute to innovative projects, we’d love to hear from you! **Key Responsibilities:** + **Design & Modeling:** Independently design and model new components and assemblies, as well as modify existing designs, using ProE Creo and SolidWorks software. + **Engineering Drawings:** Create detailed mechanical drawings and layouts from sketches and specifications. + **Product Knowledge:** Collaborate with Senior Design Engineers and product marketing teams to understand product components and design intent. + **Documentation:** Develop accurate and detailed release packages, including creating Engineering Change Notifications (ECN). + **Problem Solving:** Use effective analytical skills to resolve design and technical issues, ensuring that designs meet all specifications and quality standards. + **Collaboration:** Work with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate design and engineering solutions. + **Continuous Improvement:** Participate in ongoing learning to expand product knowledge and software skills, and apply feedback to improve designs. **Required Knowledge & Skills:** + Proficiency in **2D drawing and 3D modeling** (ProE Creo is required; SolidWorks proficiency is also required). + Effective use of **Microsoft Office Software** (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook). + Strong **communication skills** both written and verbal. + Experience with **electrical interconnects** (cabling, connectors) is a plus. + Ability to generate **layout drawings** from sketches and specifications. + Familiarity with **GD&T** (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. **Education & Experience:** + **Bachelor’s degree** in **Computer Aided Drafting** or related field, or **equivalent experience** (minimum of five years of related experience). + **Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering** preferred. + Proficiency in **ProE Creo** and **SolidWorks** . + Knowledge of **Windchill PDM** is a plus. **Additional Qualifications:** + **Judgment:** Ability to make sound, accurate decisions and communicate reasoning effectively. + **Teamwork:** Strong collaboration skills; ability to work with multiple teams across various projects. + **Planning/Organizing:** Capable of managing time efficiently and setting realistic goals. + **Adaptability:** Ability to adjust methods as needed to meet changing demands and unexpected challenges. + **Proactive Attitude:** Willingness to take on new projects and communicate effectively with supervisors. **Physical & Environmental Requirements:** + The role may involve sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for detailed work.
