Our client, an automation machine design and manufacturer, is seeking a CAD Tooling Designer to join their team. As a tool designer, you will be part of the Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing automated machines and or stamping dies, preparing assembly and detail drawings, working with tool and die makers and working from customer specifications. This is all very customized equipment. Special consideration will be given to candidates from Northeastern Indiana or South-central Michigan.
**Job Title:** CAD Tooling Designer
**Location: Bristol, IN**
**Pay:** $80-90K annually plus OT, benefits
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design of automated machines and/or stamping dies that are unique to each user under general guidance.
+ Produce drawings and layouts for components and machines in 3D CAD.
+ Collect, read, and interpret reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines, vendors, or outside sources.
+ Reviews and checks calculations and design documents for accuracy, neatness, and functionality.
+ Preparing assembly, and detail drawings from charting details, customer instructions or markups, engineer designs, and customer layouts.
**Requirements**
+ Knowledge of Dimensioning, Tolerancing, bill of materials, and materials selections
+ Can Create 2D and 3D drawings and layouts in Solidworks
+ Proficient in creating, reading and interpreting drawings with accurate dimensioning and tolerancing.
+ Deep knowledge of mechanical components and familiarity with sensors and electrical devices
+ Understands different manufacturing operations and when to use them.
+ Able to identify proper fit for moving items
