Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Field Service Watchstander (FSW) to join our team! In this role you will get to monitor an airspace for UAS threats, coordinate in real-time with internal and external agencies, provide both operational and technical support for the client’s C-UAS program, and generate reports on UAS events. The C-UAS FSW will work outside the continental United States (OCONUS) in High Threat/High Risk areas as part of a small team with the primary focus of operating and maintaining deployed C-UAS equipment. This job is NOT remote.
The candidate will provide operations and hands-on technical support as required. This position requires some technical skills, personal resilience and flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to visualize all dimensions of operating within the air domain, and the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team in a variety of physical environments.
The client is requiring significant medical screening/examinations/testing for this position. Candidates will receive a contingent offer based on successful completion of government medical requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
Monitor multiple C-UAS ensuring real time airspace awareness in the assigned area of responsibility.Report UAS events in accordance with local SOP.Prepares daily and event driven reports and logs to include storyboard, daily watch logs; distributes as directed by SOP.Perform periodic maintenance and emergency maintenance.Be prepared to conduct emergency maintenance/troubleshooting/repair.Maintains a daily watch log and passes it to the oncoming FSW, Government officials at Post, and the C-UAS Section leads daily.Coordinates and de-conflicts known/approved C-UAS operations with Senior Watch Officer (SWO).Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
An Associate’s Degree in unmanned system technologies or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/U.S. military experience with an Honorable Discharge is required.Ability to define the various components of UASAbility to define the characteristic of UAS from Group 1-3Ability to describe operational characteristics of rotary and fixed wing UASAcademic UAS experience through accredited UAS programs. Candidate must hold a valid U.S. passport or can obtain a U.S. passport.Candidate must be able to obtain a class 1 DOS medical clearance.SECRET level Security Clearance required. Experience flying Group 1-2 rotary and fixed wing UASFAA Part 107 LicenseGreat written and verbal communication skillsProficient in computer general operations and knowledgeAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Typical assignments are performed in climate controlled and external environments with a variety of weather conditions.Must be able to lift objects 50-80 pounds such as boxes and other equipment.Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of moderate objects, operation of power and manual tools/equipment, and operating office equipment.Willingness to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, and the flexibility to accommodate night or swing shifts as required.Must meet most stringent country medical clearance requirements. Position requires adherence to approved vaccination protocols as determined by location. This position will be based OCONUS.
