The Boeing Global Services' team is searching for a Senior Electrical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer, situated in Long Beach, California. This position will support the C-17 military cargo aircraft operated around the world. The successful candidate has an ability to perform systems integration; create/update wiring diagrams, system schematics, block diagrams; read electrical drawings such as wire harness, equipment installation; and resolve technical problems. The successful candidate will mentor earlier career engineers to further develop the team skills. This position requires someone that is self-motivated and has leadership abilities. C-17 engineering is a customer focused organization and the ability to build strong customer relationships is a must. Looking for a dynamic person that is ready to take on challenging work and provide guidance to teammates.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Develops and maintains wiring diagrams, system schematics, and block diagrams
+ Performs analysis and design reviews
+ Creates/follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
+ Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
+ Supports the sustainment, development, and documentation of aircraft systems, primarily electrical and electro-mechanical system design (will include interacting directly with USAF customer, Field Engineers, and C-17 aircraft)
+ Performs root cause analysis for field issues, provides corrective actions, and communicates with USAF customer (including presentations)
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.**
**This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.**
**Required Education, Skills and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
+ 7+ years of experience in Electrical design; including but not limited to Electrical Systems design, Wire Design, Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design, Electrical Lighting Systems
+ 5+ years of experience with aircraft wiring diagrams and system schematics
**Preferred Skills / Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of leadership or project management experience
+ 1+ years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition, preferably on Siemens Nx
+ 1+ years of experience with Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Capital wiring tool

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $129,000 to $173,000
