You will be responsible for purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or services.
Responsible for actively participating in development of commodity strategy, sourcing/negotiations, global/regional material budget execution, and interface with suppliers or internal stakeholders. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate across Global Purchasing and Supply Chain) as well as with our suppliers (Tier1 and semiconductor) to confirm future supply plan
Collaborate with Purchasing commodity teams and Semiconductor Supply Chain Buyers to identify semiconductors available in the market for critical constraints
Develop / maintain a collaborative relationship with key suppliers to support efficient purchases in a rapidly moving market
Go fast, while being cautious ensuring quality semiconductors are purchased through support from suppliers and GM stakeholders (Supplier Quality & Engineering)
Execute POs and maintain related documentation to ensure awareness and alignment of cross-functional organizations
Explore opportunities to enhance our semiconductor purchase process and other processes within the team
Assist with semiconductor supply chain mapping
Support investigation of semiconductor supply alternative and reallocation opportunities

Additional Job DescriptionRequired Skills:
2+ years post graduate experience within purchasing or supply chain
Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter. Ability to work independently and self-directed
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary complex projects
High level of analytical ability where problems can be complex
Ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills
Preferred Skills:
Proven supply chain crisis management support
Automotive strategic commodity purchasing experience
Ability to travel on a limited basis (5% or less) including international travel
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related degree
Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred
