Compensation
The compensation target range for this role is:

The Senior Buyer and Planner will be a key member of our Procurement team, responsible for strategically sourcing materials and components, managing supplier relationships, and planning inventory levels. Reporting to the Senior Supply Planning Manager, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials for our innovative products.Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the availability of materials and components.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to align procurement activities with production plans.
Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and inventory levels to develop effective procurement and inventory plans.
Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and resolving issues as they arise.
Monitor market trends and conduct supplier assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Utilize procurement software and tools to track, analyze, and report on procurement metrics.
Lead and mentor junior members of the procurement team.
Required Skills, Education, Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and planning.
Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Previous leadership or mentoring experience is preferred.
