JSG is hiring a Buyer for a 6+ months contract opportunity for our client in Irvine, CA. BS Degree Required 

Pay Rate: $39.00 - $45.00/hr

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Buyer II will procure commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items and services at the best value while meeting quality standards and deadlines. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, managing MRO purchases, handling purchase orders, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
Procure COTS, services, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Manage requests for quotes and participate in cost analysis for bid preparation. Monitor open purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery, addressing exceptions. Maintain supplier relationships and manage sourcing for anticipated needs. Review and process purchase requisitions and approvals. Handle discrepancies and coordinate material returns. Provide status updates and approve invoices.
Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace/defense preferred. Familiarity with UCC/FAR and DFAR, procurement processes, and engineering specifications. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in procurement of repair services and facility maintenance. #D800
