Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.The work model for the role is: Hybrid {#LI-Hybrid}This role is contributing to the Process Automation business area, specifically to the Energy Industries division in ABB Chile. Your main stakeholders will be internal: Procurement & Logistics, Controllers, Project Managers, Area and Cluster Leads.You will be mainly accountable for:• Management of Purchase Orders• Negotiation processes with suppliers• Supplier log and evaluation, in line with internal ABB and Energy Industries processes• Follow-up and monitoring supplier payment• Management and collaborative work, directly with Project Managers• Management and monitoring of the procurement process of the technical and sales team

Qualifications for the role

You enjoy working in a team oriented setting, and are capable of interacting and building a positive working relationship with clients from the industrial segment (Pulp & Paper, Energy and Water & Wastewater).You have a degree in Industrial or Commercial Engineering, and have at least 2 years of experience in similar roles, working with national or international suppliers.You are highly adaptable to dynamic work environments and welcome change, are resilient and proactive. You also possess a collaborative and teamwork oriented mindset, and can communicate thoughts and initiatives effectively.You can communicate fluidly in Spanish, and feel comfortable communicating in English through remote and written channels.
