Summary: Responsible for issuing requests for proposals, source selection, issuing Purchase Orders and managing vendors for goods and services to support Amercon ongoing operations and business requirements. Work closely with key internal stakeholders to forecast needs and find supply chain solutions that meet their project schedules and budget requirements. Additionally, working closely with the core Procurement team at P&W and RTX to develop & execute strategies to lower costs across all P&W sites globally.
What You Will Do:
Executing sourcing and procurement strategies - Purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures to optimize price, delivery, and terms.Ensuring compliance with ethics and procurement policies and proceduresCoordinating with internal customers to forecast needs and develop supply chain strategies to support key projectsManaging key suppliers to ensure they are compliant to P&W policies and provide their goods and services on schedule and within budgetNegotiate pricing, lead times, and basic contract terms with suppliers to support cost, delivery, and quality targetsIssue and manage purchase orders for materials, components, MRO items, and services to meet production requirementsDriving continuous improvement of procurement processes, including collaboration with key stakeholdersAmend PO's if/when necessary to resolve delinquent payment issues through Accounts Payable, Transcepta, and Ariba with Vendors Maintain status reports of Purchase Requisitions in queue, assist requisitioners to submit compliant requisitionsEnsure requisitioners address payment blocks weeklyIdentify cost savings opportunitiesObtain delivery information from vendors.Monitor Purchase order report and close out PO’s as necessary.Participating in special projects and other tasks, as neededQualifications You Must Have:
Associates Degree and 2 years of prior relevant work experience or in absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experienceU.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Strong organizational skills required for the orderly stocking of operating suppliesExcellent communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skillsExperience with Microsoft SuiteQualifications We Prefer:
